Well, I may have arrived a bit late to the blogging world, but I'm excited to finally have one. I hope to remember that I have it at my disposal whenever I want to write anything worth sharing.
The subject on my mind today is my frustration with the state of the internet. It has become so entirely saturated with inaccurate and misleading information, mostly offered up by people who are trying to sell me something in a sneaky way. I feel especially angry about internet marketers who lack any sort of conscience, taking advantage of the large number of people who are out of work and in financial despair, who are hoping to find a legitimate way to make money from home or with an online business. Of course, it is ultimately up to each individual to examine each "opportunity" and make up his/her own mind, but the marketing techniques these people use are designed specifically to target the downtrodden and desperate. I guess salespeople have been using tactics like these since the beginning of time, but that doesn't make it right. And it's probably much easier for a decent person to become an anonymous slimeball over the internet-- they never have to see the faces of the people who were sucked into becoming their customer.
Well, I have to go help my mom with her Christmas cards, so I have to stop now! More to come.
